Nicholas Stephens is currently a postdoctoral scholar at Penn State University in Dr. Tim Ryan’s lab. He received his PhD from the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology, department of Human Evolution. His dissertation focused on the evolution of the human hand, which included recent humans, chimpanzees, bonobos, and neanderthals. Prior to his doctorate, he received his MSc at University College London in the Palaeoanthropology and Palaeolithic Archaeology program. Although his interests are broad, he specializes in biomechanics, trabecular bone morphology, and analytical software development.
