Sharon Kuo is a postdoctoral scholar in the Ryan Lab. She graduated from the University of Missouri, department of Pathology and Anatomical Sciences where her dissertation focused on foot and ankle morphology and movement in extant primates and Miocene hominoids. She is a functional morphologist interested in the evolution of locomotion in humans and our closest relatives, both living and extinct. She is currently investigating locomotor signals in the distal radius of extant mammals as well as comparing trabecular and cortical bone properties in primates and rodents.
